ADULT- Pre-Registration-$25.00
Race Day Registration- $40.00

FAMILY REGISTRATION PACKAGE-$50.00;
includes 2 adults, 3 kids, and 2 t-shirts.  Families
can purchase additional shirts for $15.00 or
$25.00 pledge.

Dear Friends of Bright Futures Academy:

We are asking for your assistance in procuring a donation for Bright Futures Academy’s 1st annual Salute The Troops 5k Run/Walk. This event is hosted by a dedicated group of volunteers and faculty for the purpose of promoting support for our Military and Veterans and to raise funds for our newly instated Civil Air Patrol Unit.  The Salute the Troops 5k Run will be on Saturday, November 7th. We chose this date because it is the weekend before Veterans Day.

Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on November 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Congress passed a resolution in 1926 for an annual observance, and Nov. 11 became a national holiday beginning in 1938. President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed legislation in 1954 to change the name to Veterans Day as a way to honor those who served in all American wars. The day has evolved into a celebration honoring all living and non living military personnel. A national ceremony takes place at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.  We hope that by having this run we will be able to have our school families and outside community members honor our veterans and current military men and women.

We invite you to partner with us through your generous donation and to help us educate healthy leaders of tomorrow:

•$500.00 value donation- advertisement on Sponsor Board, T-Shirt, Press releases, and a company booth set up on race day
•$250.00 value donation- advertisement on Sponsor Board and T- Shirt.
•$100.00 value donation- advertisement on Sponsor Board displayed at start/ finish line.
