What is the BFA Connections Program©?
The Connections Program© is an after school enrichment program. The purpose is to offer classes in Art, Music, Academics and Athletics in an effort to augment daily instruction and expand student interest in specific areas of education.
Will the Connections Program© interfere with aftercare already in place?
Connections Program© is in addition to Aftercare for an extra cost (please see below). Students who are currently enrolled in Aftercare will still have the same after school schedule, unless you are interested in registering your child for classes.
* If an Aftercare student participates in the Connections Program©, they will be pulled out of regular aftercare for their Connections class from 4-5pm and returned to aftercare when their class is over.*
Where will the Connections classes take place?
All Aftercare programs including the Connections Program will be held at the Riverside Campus. All elementary school students participating in afterschool programs will be transported by the BFA shuttle bus from Lighthouse/Prosperity to the Riverside Campus.
Will school clubs still be offered after school?
BFA’s Connections Program© has replaced all clubs except for a few clubs such as Scottish dancing and jump rope club. Grade level FCAT tutoring will still be provided upon teacher recommendation at no cost. Bright Futures Academy’s clubs are designed for students who are interested in extracurricular activities which are not offered through the school’s Connections Program© and are intended to encourage comradery and foster self- esteem. They have a cost of $10.00 for the entire session, are limited in size and are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please review the club packet for further information.
How long is this program?
BFA Connections will be offered throughout the school year.
Classes are scheduled Monday through Thursday for a 60 minute period. Students that sign up for Connections will attend class(s) on the day(s) that they are registered from 4:00-5:00pm.
How many students will be in each class?
Each class must have a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 15 students.
Who can sign up for the program?
These classes will be offered to BFA students as well as friends and siblings who might go to a different school or are alumni students.
What is the cost per class?

All Connections payments are DUE on the 15th of each month for the next month. Classes will be filled on a first come first served basis. When a student registers for a class, they are signing up for the entire next month.
For example, if you register for art on Tuesdays for the entire month on September, it will cost $40.00. If you would like to sign your child up for just 1 art class it will cost $10.00. The class that a student signs up for will be for the coming up month.
Once registration has ended no student will be accepted into that month’s session.

Yes, we are offering a select number of classes specifically for high school students. Please see the class information section.
